On the other hand, nobody volunteers to help me with my composting, so I guess it works out in the end.

Divina, city dwellers have their part to play, too. Composting is for everyone.

Pattie, you seem to have found the common ground--cleaning up the leaves and composting, too. Good for you. If only we could compost all the leaves, I think Mother Nature would be happy...Ed Bruskehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12217850970833353800noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5603202988847584283.post-73710837471736747252007-11-21T06:57:00.000-05:002007-11-21T06:57:00.000-05:00Ed: I identified with your leaf adventure! We ended up helping him rake them onto a big tarp and carried them back to our garden. Because of the drought here, the leaves are so, so dry that they crumble so easily and we put them directly on our beds to decompose.

When I thnaked him profusely for the leaves, my neighbor said, "You're very easy to please, Pattie." :)Pattie Bakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06980323449305990299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5603202988847584283.post-90956334088137744472007-11-21T03:21:00.000-05:002007-11-21T03:21:00.000-05:00Thank you for inspiring city dwellers! We can all d...Thank you for inspiring city dwellers!

We can all do a little to help.
mille Graziedivinacucinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01757668087807632752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5603202988847584283.post-15319540303340126132007-11-20T11:27:00.000-05:002007-11-20T11:27:00.000-05:00I laugh. As someone who gets far more leaves than I can compost, it always irked me when I'd bag the excess up and then someone would steal them from the alley. They're welcome to the leaves, but where were they when I was bagging them?!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
