From Our "Miracles of Nature" Department

A rosemary plant, growing out of the brick wall on our front stoop.

Wow, that is pretty amazing! Nature is truly a wonderous thing isn't it? And it's rosemary too, so you can cook with it. Wahoo for volunteers, especially ones that do it in such a spectacular way.

Definitely a miracle!

Rosemary seeds are very difficult to get to sprout! Enjoy your little treasure!

Are you kidding?
I can't even get rosemary to grow in prepared garden soil.
Your green thumb must be so proud!

That is amazing! I knew rosemary was tough, but not that tough!

Jennifer, I'll be watching this little plant closely to see how long it survives. In a wall. Really?

Meg, how do you suppose it got there? Why not somewhere in the garden?

Kateri, what doesn't work in the seed trays, Mother Nature takes care of all on her own.

Martha, we are proud and a little bit in shock.

Parsec, I guess we'll find out just how tough rosemary really is. Any wagers on how long it can survive in a crack in the masonry?
